Rengstroff House Mountain View
A beautiful place The Rengstroff House an Italianate Victorian architecture style building. It was built in 1867 by the Henry Rengstroff. It is located at Mountain View, California. From the Shoreline Park it is one mile away. It is an oldest historic house. It is also a prime model of adaptive reuse. It originally sat on 164 acres of prime land. In this mansion there are 16 rooms, a total of 3,955 square feet. Members of the Rengstorff family lived in this mansion, until 1959. It was fully restored in 1991. It is beautifully furnished by a community-based organization known as the Friends of "R" House. Here Tours are given on Sunday, Tuesday & Wednesday, 11:00 - 5:00 P.M. It is surrounded by a sailing lake, wetlands and bird sanctuary. There are many Victorian events are hosted throughout the year. In the Rengstorff House there are many events can be arranged like exhibits, living history programs, memorable holiday events, and much more. In the spring of 2011 Rengstroff House celebrated the twentieth anniversary of the restoration. The Rengstorff House and gardens are also available for rental for meetings, weddings and events on non-tour days. There is also facility of wireless internet.
